February Newsletter

Hi Trailheaders,
Here we are at the end of February and more than half way through winter….phew! Once again, news is light this month.
Just to let you all know, the Board has contacted Drees, the project manager and Katie Hoecker about the early starts of the construction workers, the general messiness of our neighborhood, and the overnight parking of vehicles and machines on the road. I know we are all anxious to have better weather, less mud, and a neater neighborhood!
As many of you are aware, the other night it was raining so hard that the street flooded. The Board wanted to let you know that this was due to the new erosion runners that were placed in the sewers to prevent the mud from getting into the sewers. The runners were working and consequently the road flooded because the rain came so hard and fast. With spring rains, this will probably happen again. Once construction is complete, the runners will be removed.
With spring just around the corner, please remember that if you want to make changes or additions to your landscape (or house), you will need to fill out the appropriate forms. The turn around time is about 21 days, so please plan ahead. The forms are available on the website. Please review the rules and regulations concerning number of flowerpots that can be on your front porch and other landscape items. Also be aware of what is allowed in the backyard, on decks or patios, and where things must be stored.
We heard from Katie Hoecker that lot 1 has sold. The couple that bought it is Willie and Etta Wells. No dig date has been set yet.
The Board had a response to a request for new committee members in last month’s newsletter. We are happy to welcome Karin Raajimakers, who has joined the social committee.  Please consider adding your talents to any one of our committees by contacting Laura Goepfert, mgoep@aol.com. It is great to see new residents begin to join in the workings of Trailhead!
I am trying to think of other things to pass along, but it truly has been a very quiet (no pun intended) month. The Board meets on March 6th, so if you have any concerns or questions please forward them along.
Here’s to Spring!!
